Is your car Air-con working as it should?

Air-con in your car plays essential roles, such as keeping you cool in the summer, improving the air quality inside your vehicle, and stopping the windows from misting up in the rain/winter.
Most of us expect our air conditioning to work without a second thought, but it’s a nightmare when warm air comes out of the vents on one of the few scorching days of British summer or your windows mist up in the winter or when it’s been raining.
If your air conditioning starts blowing out hot air, it may need air-con gas.  We offer an air-con regas service where we can get your air conditioning back up and running, keeping you cool and windows mist-free.

What is car Air-con regassing?

If your air-con starts blowing out hot air, it may need air-con gas.  Keep yourself cool and your windows mist-free with our air-con regas service.  Our technicians will get your air conditioning running effectively.
Air-con regassing removes the old refrigerant gas from your air conditioning system, replacing it with new refrigerant so your air conditioning can run cold again.
Regassing a car’s system is the first thing our technicians will explore if your air-conditioning system isn’t blowing as cold as it should. This process will take approximately one hour.
There could be other reasons your air conditioning isn’t blowing cold, such as leaks. If this is the case, our technician will advise accordingly.

How often should you get your car Air-con regassed and when should it be serviced?

Most manufacturers recommend you service your car’s air-con every two years or so, but many people wait until it’s not blowing cold air.

Air conditioning systems that are running low on gasses can cause strain on components such as the pump.  Furthermore, poorly functioning air conditioning will make it more challenging to de-mist windows in the winter and could work the engine harder, thus using more fuel.

Rather than putting off a system check, why not book an air-con service alongside your car’s annual MOT or service?  One of our technicians will ensure your air-conditioning gas is topped up and running smoothly.
